Today marks the end of the Kotone episodes! Aw, I’m going to miss her. D: She’s such an awesome character, not just because of the fact she’s the anime counter part to my favorite Pokémon main game protagonist, but also because she has an interesting personality. I hope she appears later, but chances are she won’t. This episode was pretty good, though it’s sad to see Kotone go.

Today’s episode was the Suiren (Lilypad) Town contest, where Hikari (Dawn) majorly gets her ass kicked! Well, only against Jessilina/James dressed as Jessie. James, who’s pretending to be Jessie because she’s sick, wins the ribbon, which I was happy to see. Hopefully she gets farther and gets more ribbons. I didn’t watch practically any of the Advance Generation portion of Pokémon, but I heard she didn’t get any ribbons and never made it any farther, so it would be nice to see Jessie get somewhere with this. It definitely gives something more to her character than just chasing after Ash for all this time.

So I finally decided to get my ass in gear and work on completing my pokédex in SoulSilver, which is something I was thinking about doing quite a bit. I spent the majority of my free time running around Johto and Kanto (and a little bit of Sinnoh as well) to capture all of the Kanto Pokémon I was missing. Thankfully my evening classes got canceled due to our third (? I think it’s the third, I could be wrong xD) snow storm this season, so I had plenty of time to finish.

Been a bit since I last posted one of these, but I guess that’s just cause I haven’t really done much gaming-wise. School keeps eating me alive. Anyways, so this is kind of mostly Pokémon related today, since that’s what I’ve been working on. I’m also gonna talk a little bit about Zoroa and Zoroak, the two new Pokémon, cause I just want to say a few things on them. I really’ don’t have a LOT to say on them, but this is as good a posts as any to briefly mention them. Sooo, beyond the cut we go~

And with today’s episode we finish the first one hour special Japan aired for HGSS. I didn’t wake up too early this time, so I’m not nearly as tired. xD But, anyways, this episode was enjoyable. Personally I would have liked for CartoonNetwork to run the Kotone episodes as the one hour specials like they originally were, but I also realize the time constraints (because all they seem to care about are those stupid live-action shows they’re doing these days. =_=) and the fact the games are still about a month away so one a week brings them out to the Saturday before the US release date. So I guess it’s okay. :P Anyways, beyond the cut we go~!

*yawns* I woke up a bit too early to watch, but I sure as heck didn’t miss it! The dub airing of the Johto Festival Episode, known as “An Egg Scramble!” in English. Note to Cartoon Network: Seriously, 7am is too early. :| Hopefully I can keep waking up for these episodes though, it’s great to see Kotone (No, I will not call her Lyra)! To be honest, Kotone is the only reason I wanted to get up for this episode and the four more to air. ^^;> She’s just such a great character and I really do love Kotone. Anyways, moving along~

This is a little over-due, but ah well, I remembered I should do this, and am going to now. This is going to be a brief review of Pokemon SoulSilver. There’s not a lot I can say about it really, since I only understand bits and pieces across the entire game, but I feel like I should make a post on the game as a whole anyways. There will still be a HG (US) post when I get that and finish it, of course.

All in one day! *is having game overload* I have had time to play each one for a couple of hours, so I’ll give a quick opinion on each.
Let’s start with THE iDOLM@STER: Dearly Stars for the DS. I didn’t get as far as the other two games, but anyways. I started story mode with Ai. Besides her being to freaking loud, I quite like the change in role for this game. Also all the 360/L4U type of camera/vocals control is really nice and interesting to play with. I’ll have to get used to it.
Secondly, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona for the PSP. On the ride home I opened up the sucker and played for literally an hour and a half straight. Not nearly as long as any constant play I’ve done on my console Persona games, but hey, it’s a portable game (and there was a cute little puppy wanting a little attention too~). The battle system is much different than I’m used to, but I think I can get used to it. The characters are interesting along with the story. I can’t wait to see the story develop. Also liking the music, though I hear those who’ve played the original don’t like it as much.
And lastly, Pokemon SoulSilver for the DS. The game I’ve been impatient for. This thing fulfills my wishes and oh so much more. I really can’t say much other than omg it’s amazing. xD
