Even though NaNoWriMo is long over… I’m still not caught up on my anime watching. I suppose I COULD blame school, but I’d just be fooling all of you. I’ve just been busy doing random stuff and when I think “Hey, I should watch that anime…” It’s already time to sleep. Break is less than two weeks away now though, and I’ve got a nice amount of time there to catch up on everything. Granted… I may just end up playing on my PSP (like I don’t know I’m getting one xD), but I should have at least a day to kill (the 23rd) where I can probably catch up.
… Keyword: Probably.

I’d like to just apologize for my lack of posts recently, and forgetfulness on basically everything. I’ve been writing my Novel, which you can see my daily notes at my NaNoBlog, 十一月の夢, so I’ve been forgetting to watch anime and post on it. Or rather, I don’t feel in the mood too. :/ Also lack of Gamer Talk posts too cause I just don’t feel like writing anything after I write 2,000 words every day. It kinda gets boring, you know? Head’s up — Going to Salem

Nothing insanely important, just wanted to give a heads up I’m going to be away this weekend and will be in Salem (LOL don’t stalk me). I have Yozakura Quartet Episode 2 and bought Tekkon Kinkreet from the iTunes store to watch on the 5-or-so hour drive (Which, no I am not driving, even though I could). Also, since ef -Melodies Episode 2 isn’t up, I’ll check before I go to bed and tomorrow morning or whatever to see if I can rip that on onto my iPod as well. I’ll post on all of it when I get back on Sunday (If I’m not home super late), and if not Sunday, Monday for sure.
If you’re interested, I’ll be updating my Twitter with stuff from the trip.

Glorifying the US Anime Community?

Applying for College is looming over my head recently, and whats worse is these whole essay things. I get money from the colleges for doing this, but I suck at writing stuff like this. Last time I had an assignment like this was Sophmore year, and we were to try and not be found guilty of witchcraft. I wrote a stupid little paragraph on how I this, I that, tossed it the minute I got up there and owned the crap out of everyone else’s babble about how “I did this, and I did that. I, I, I.” It was hard enough to do that, but now this is to write about how I will benifit/contribute to their community/enviroment, using my talents, travels, leadership activities, volenteer services and cultural experiences.
Yeah. That last bit. Besides the lovely American culture, I see bits of Japanese culture via Anime and Manga and such. Granted, I know it’s not much of an acurate dipiction for the most part, but it’s something. But covering that would also prompt me to cover conventions… and the lovely people that join it. So how the hell do I sugar-coat Yaoi Fangirls and Narutards? Or do I just leave them purely out and just pretend they don’t exsist? And then there’s also the topics that anime itself covers, which is clearly something I shouldn’t say. At least not to a college I intend on applying to.
The task as a whole is daunting, and it doesn’t help that I’d rather be getting my 200 holes for PangYa today. Sugar-Coating the American Anime Community is not easy.

OMG, not an animoo-related post.
Anyways, those in the States will remember a lovely couple of monthes when TV was a a standstill. Why, yes, the Writers Strike. It put many shows on indefinate hold, and some might have been killed due to it.
Well, it’s coming back. This time with the Screen Actor’s Guild (SAG).
Let’s firstly explain that the reason behind the Writer’s strike can simply be explained as the Company Reps being asshats and not wanting to do what they SHOULD be doin’, changing the contract to help its members, since they should be getting money that they weren’t.

Well, after I read Hinano’s comment on my Game Post a while back, I decided to try out Albatross18. I looked around the guide and info pages, since I wanted to see what kind of game it was and such, and was pleased with it. While I’m not much of a Golf-Gamer or whatever, the characters are cute and it’s a casual game. While, yeah, I’m kind of looking for an RPG game now, I don’t think I’ll find one anytime soon that I might stick with. Nexon’s dissapointing me massively now (Even though they finally sent me an e-mail asking for my adress to send my prize from a contest two monthes ago), and I’m looking into other companies that might do better. Looking at OGPlanet’s other games, the one coming soon, LaTale, might interest me. I’ll look into other versions of it, cause as we all know Anime-Styled MMOs are from Korea. ;P

Otakus. Some hate ‘em, some love ‘em. Some of us think we are, and some think we’re not. It’s all a matter of perspective. Some see us as what the stereotypes are, some don’t. I know most parent probably see the Otaku lifestyle like that of the extreme stereotype.
I know we all can name some *ahem* bad and unliked types of Anime Fans/Otaku. And I’m pretty sure we at least all know a few good anime fans.
So, let me press enter a few more times and kill some space and get to a cut.

I’m pretty sure we all know this, but not every parent is like Konata’s father in accepting/supporting anime. Some may outright oppose it. Personally, my parents don’t mind it (They joke with me about it still, sometimes sarcastically making fun of me for my love of Anime), but I do know of people whose parents aren’t like that.
